On the Features of Spoken Chinese and English

本文从词汇、句法、沉默、语音、随意性、变异和修辞格七个方面探讨了汉英口语特征的异同。其结果发现汉英在口语特征上同大于异 ,也就是说在口语上汉英之间存在着许多共性。这同会话的合作原则、礼貌原则。

This paper makes a survey on the similarity and difference between spoken Chinese and English from seven perspectives: vocabulary, syntax, silence, phonetics, random, deviation and rhetoric. The result of the study shows that there is more similarity than difference in the features of spoken Chinese and English, in other words, Chinese and English have much commonality in speech.
