位于河北省宣化城西北4公里处的下八里村，1972年至今，共出土了12座辽金时代的壁画墓，墓群规模宏大，年代明确，出土随葬品500余件，尤为珍贵的是绘在墙壁上的彩色壁画，总面积360余平方米，20余个题材，共计98幅，
The Colorful fresco of Liao tomb in Xuanhua is a great discovery in archaeol()gical history with voluptuous color,fluent lines, rich information and novel theme. In the form of fresco, it simulates a living envir()nment f()r the deadwith realistic touch. Astronomic painting, tea manner and out walking, all these were relative to daily life, hobby andreligious belief of the decedent.
