摘要
The large size YCa 4O(BO 3) 3(YCOB)crystals up to 45×60 mm can be steadily grown by CZ method in our lab.YCOB crystal devices with different cut angles and lengths have been made to study the NLO properties of YCOB in different laser systems.The potential applications of these devices are also demonstrated. The optical qualities of the crystal have been investigated by optical spectrometer,microscope and laser interferometer.Defects of the YCOB crystals as grown,such as the crack or cleavage along(201)plate and the striation on the different stages of crystal growth are also studied.Some measures to eliminate the defects and promote the quality of the crystal are proposed.
