摘要
萧乾和文洁若翻译的《尤利西斯》 ,在詹·乔伊斯杜撰的拟声词的处理上独树一帜 ,堪称典范。本文阐释了译作的五个特点 ,即 :循音拟声 ,顺应语境 ,添词拟声 ,通感拟声和拟声加注。
The Chinese version of “Ulysses” completed by Xiao Qian and Wen Jieruo sets a marked example in the rendition of J.Joyce s onomatopoeic nonce_words into their Chinese equivalents. This paper has illustra ted the five techniques in their translating them by means of definition expandi ng, context suiting, additional words attaching, sensation transferring and in t he end_note explaining.
