Extensive Reading is a basic course in foreign language teaching. It has a very important role in helping students raise their reading comprehension ability.Referring to the teaching materials, the paper discusses various aspects of the teaching of Extensive Reading, from basic reading theories to teaching practice. It also proposes some teaching methods.
