译者的能动性及其制约因素

The Translators Initiative and Some Restrictions on It

长期以来 ,人们对译者的能动性认识不足。但事实上译者在以下几个方面都具有能动性 :(1)选择原文本 ;(2 )决定翻译原则 ;(3)理解 ;(4)表达。另一方面 ,译者始终受到一些因素的制约 ,如社会背景、赞助人、文化误读、原文文本。

For a long time people have failed to pay enough attention to the translators initiative. But actually he does enjoy some initiative in choosing the original text, determining his translation principles, understanding and expression. On the other hand, he always works under some restrictions, for example, the social background, patrons, cultural misinterpretation, the original text and the translators accomplishments.
