This paper reports a simple and highly efficient method for extracting total DNA of edible fungus. The method has made some improvements and simplifications on the basis of Yelton's ex- traction method so that it has a number of advantages such as obtaining high moleculat weight total DNA, high yield, good quality, simple operation. This research has provided a strong means for the further development of edible fungus's molecular biology research in the future.
