摘要虚拟技术是数字地球的关键技术。地理表达的扩展是GIS发展的一大重点。VR-GIS已越来越受到人们的关注。在给出VR-GIS技术的概念、特征及其信息模型后，以多平台集成的方式，从流域3D、VR模型研制的技术路线和功能设计等方面出发，讨论了其在水利、流域上的应用。
