摘要
第三代移动通信系统 (3G)的重要特点是支持覆盖全球的综合多媒体业务 ,包括高速到低速移动、室外到室内的各种系统运营环境 .由于它的全球性服务与全球性网络设计 ,3G的移动性管理成为近年发展迅速热点研究领域之一 .本文对 3G分层系统的移动性管理进行分析 ,提出优化步骤并进行讨论 ,得出 3G分层系统较 3G单层系统性能要好 .
The important characteristic of 3G is that 3G support the integrated multimedia services that cover all the world，adapted for big moving or Random walk in outdoor or indoor surroundings.In this paper，we analyze the mobility management strategy and propose the optimization steps to reduce the traffic cost.The performance of 3G system with Hierarchical overlays is better than that 3G system with one overlay.
