摘要
本文评述几部研究现当代散文的近著,指出有关散文定义的一些新概念实为伪命题。作者从中国与西方的散文发展,以及汉语与英语中散文一词的含义,来说明对散文这一文体的最好表述,就是"散文",而非其它术语。
In this review the author discusses some recent publications on the literary genre of essay,or prose.From a cross-cultural perspective,the author compares the Chinese term 'sanwen' with English term 'essay,' and negates the new term 'artistic sanwen' while promotes the term 'literary essay' for the genre of creative non-fiction.
