中国共产党走过的光辉而又曲折的 80年历程 ,可划分为浴血奋争的 2 8年、艰辛探索的 2 9年和阔步前进的 2 3年三大阶段。 80年来 ,中国共产党代表中国最广大人民和中华民族的根本利益 ,把马克思列宁主义同中国实际相结合 ,披荆斩棘 ,百折不挠 ,开创了三条有中国特色的革命和建设道路 ,使我泱泱中华在二十世纪里从极度屈辱、贫弱中走向全面振兴和富强。在这一伟大历史进程中 ,党也遭受了四次严重挫折 ,留下了沉痛的教训。无论是正面的经验还是反面的教训 ,它们都是党弥足珍贵的精神财富 ,是党继往开来。

The 80 years history of the Chinese Communist Party can be clearly designated as such three periods as hard-fighting 28 years, truth-seeking 29 years and forward-striding 23 years. During these years, with the combination of Marxism-leninism with Chinese special situation, Chinese Communist Party, representatives of the maximum masses in China and the Chinese nation, has made strenuous efforts to produce a Chinese-characterized revolutionary and construction road so that China has lifted itself out of poverty and backwardness and into its all-round rejuvenation and prosperity during the 20th century. During the course four serious drawbacks and bitter experiences fell upon the Party, but they are the Party's spiritual values and great motivation for even more brilliant achievements and a brighter future.
