论古代文人的理想品格

Ideal Character of Ancient Literati

我国的传统文化,是极看重人的品格的锻炼和修养的。古代文人至少多数人是把理想品格当作自己的倾仰对象、当作值得自己为之追求的人生境界和人生目标的。在理想品格的某些方面表现得非常突出的人,就如天上繁星,数不胜数,陶渊明、李白、苏轼就是其中突出的代表。理想品格成为我们民族精神传统、思想传统的一个有机组成部分,成为我们民族不断前进和发展的一个精神支柱、一个思想基础。后代的人们在设计自己的人生理想和人格理想时,在构建自己时代的理想品格时,不可避免地会把眼光投向它们,从中吸取营养,寻求借鉴。

Chinese traditional culture values discipline and cultivation of personal character. At least most of ancient literati regard ideal character as adored object, life philosophy and targets, which would be value of seeking for. There are amounts of outstanding persons who have fulfilled perfectly in some aspects of ideal character. Tao Yuan-ming, Li Bai and Su Shi are represents of these literati holding ideal character. Now the ancient ideal character has evolved into an organic department of our national spirit and thought tradition. Moreover it become the spirit support and thought fundament of continued development and progress of our nation. The follow-up generation will unconsciously inherit the soul of this traditional ideal character when they are designing their life goal and personality ideals, establishing ideal character of their era.
