Lu Shi-e'S Ideas of Producing his Novels

青浦陆士谔是清末民初上海滩最多产的小说家,撰小说百余种行于世,然今人所知见不过半数。其小说颇为独特:每将自身写进小说,并在自己的小说中淋漓尽致地表现自我、宣传自我、为自己的作品做广告。从所见的陆士谔小说中,可探寻出部分未见著录或署名他人的陆士谔的小说作品。

Lu Shi-e, a native of Qingpu, was a most productive writer in Shanghai in later Qing dynasty. He published more than one hundred novels in his life. But People at present only know almost half of his novels. It was very interesting that he often wrote himself in his novels, represented and propagated himself and advertised his works as well. This paper tries to research Lu shi-e's ideas of producing his novels.
