文章从历史发展的角度论述了语用学与语义学的产生。它们都是对语言意义的研究但所覆盖的层次不同,语用学可以说是对语义学的补充。正是因为语用学的出现,人们才找到了自然语言的逻辑。

: This paper expounds the appearance of semantics and pragmatics from the historical point of view. Both of them are the study of language meaning but on different levels. Pragmatics is considered to be a complement to semantics. And it is just pragmatics' coming into being that people get the logic of natural language.
