This paper introduces the intension of the mathematical experiment and the function in the teaching of college of engineering. It illustrates that mathematical experiments can compensate the lack of classroom teaching.They play an important role in improving the efficiency and results and fostering the students' mathematical charater and engagement in scientific research.
