On the Relations between Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese-Language Poetry and Chinese New Poetry

新马华文诗歌与中国新诗遥相呼应几乎都是在现实主义层面上发生的,中国新诗中一度涌动的浪漫主义与现代主义思潮虽在新马华文诗歌中激起回应,但很快被抗战情境所消解。即使二战结束后,新马华文诗歌脱离了与中国新诗保持步伐高度一致的格局,但是仍然形成了以现实主义为主潮的局面,从根本而言还没有摆脱中国新诗的影响。

The echo between Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese-Language Poetry and Chinese New Poetry almost occurs on the basis of modernism. Although the romanticist and modernist thoughts from Chinese New Poetry were once responded by Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese -Language Poetry, they were before long dissolved by the later Anti-Japanese War sentiment. After WWII, Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese -Language Poetry could not keep abreast with Chinese New Poetry, whereas under the influence of th e latter, the former has advanced to a phase led by modernism.
