Keeping Watch of the Female Being:A Gender View Interpretation of Some Contemporary Chinese Novels

如《伤逝》和《无字》等,文本所映射的两性之爱这一问题,虽前人已有论述,而笔者侧重于审视其中女性对男性精神层面的依附。这种依附,表现为女性在守望爱的时候,认识到男性在双性和谐构建中是不可或缺的,因此,她们渴望男性同盟者的参与、支持。

This paper attempted a gender interpretation of some contemporary novels like Death Mourning and No Words.Scholars have studied the love in these novels,but the present article focused on the spiritual dependence of the female on the male.In keeping watch of their love,the females come to see the indispensable role of the male in desired harmony between the two sexes,and therefore they wish to see a supporter in the man.
