In narrating their immigrant experiences,the Literature of New Immigrants usually tends to imbibe and dialogue with western cultures as its attitude and strategy.The realistic narrative mode and multiple narrative techniques are applied.Readers thus are exposed to confrontations and conflicts new immigrants encountered when they were striving to assimilate into the mainstream culture.Many of these works still adopt the traditional narrative modes.
