Yue Lun—The First Person to Hold Solo Exhibition in Republic Era

1931年,岳仑举办现代意义上的第一个个人雕塑展,其意义非同一般——展览所需雕塑作品量、雕塑家对于公共领域的介入、现代展览机制在雕塑领域的引入,这些都具有开创性的意义。某种程度上说,这是西方雕塑引入中国的一个里程碑式事件,在现代雕塑史的发展进程中具有重要意义。

Sculptor Yue Lun held his first solo sculpture exhibition in 1931,which is also the first solo sculpture exhibition in modern period of China.It was really meaningful because it was with many initiations in the number of sculptures,the references for sculptor to public area,the interposition of modern exhibiting mechanism in sculpture sphere,etc.In some degree, it was one landmark in the process of which the western sculptures were being brought into China,and had a great meaning in the modern sculpture history.
