澳大利亚旅游业发展尤其是奥运旅游的成功经验值得中国学习借鉴。本文考察了中国和澳大利亚旅游业交流与合作的历程,分析了北京举办2008年奥运会和全国旅游业发展应吸取的几点经验和应注意的几个方面,如阶段性促销战略的制订与实施,区域整合及全国旅游资源的综合开发,旅游人才和旅游质量的提高,旅游业发展对就业状况的改善,旅游发展与环境、生态保护的关系等。

The successful experience in the development of Australian tourism is worth studying by Beijing.This paper examines the history and process of the exchanges and co-operations in tourism between China and Australia.It also analyses several pieces of referential experience and some aspects that Beijing should pay enough attention to,such as the making and implementation of marketing strategies according to different stages,integration and general arrangement of the whole country's tourist resources,the improvement of quality of service and training of tourism employees,and what tourism can do to solve the problem of unemployment,how to balance the development of tourism and the protection of environment.
