不断地学习知识尤其是经典知识,这是人生之学的很重要的方面。但是,经典知识本身就是其著述者各自时代的表征,是各自时代的精华,随着时间的变化,经典必然会显现它的滞后性,假如执迷于经典知识的表象而不领悟其义理,对于人生不仅无益反而有害。荀子认为,人生的学问,关键在于把握人生礼义原则,对经典知识作创造性转化,通过切磋琢磨的过程,消除我们心灵的蒙蔽和精神的负担,进而完善自己的身心修养,使自己的心灵通达澄明,这是教育的目的所在。

It is vital part of our life to uninterruptedly learn knowledge,especial the classic knowledge,which is a very important aspect of our life.However,the classic knowledge,which is by itself the token of the age in which representors were living,the elite of that time,will of necessary change and manifests such its laggards as people's attention being given to the surface instead of its deep meaning,its harm rather than its benefit.According to Xunzi,the function of acquired knowledge in one's life lies in the master of the principle of how to be a person and with the help of the classic wisdom to eliminate the blindness in our hearts and the pressure in our spirits so as to perfect and own mind,promote own morals state and change our minds.This is the purpose of our education.
