徐中舒先生治学方法琐谈——王国维“二重论据”与徐中舒的“多重论据法”

Some Comments on Xu Zhongshu's Research Methods——Wang Guowei's "Double Arguments" and Xu Zhongshu's "Multiple Arguments"

徐中舒先生一生治学颇多建树,他师承国学大师王国维先生,王国维开创的以地下史料考订文献史料的"二重论据"的史论方法,对他影响至深。但徐先生一贯主张"跟着时代前进有所发展",在治学实践中,除继承传统的"考据"手段外,将老师王国维开创的"二重论据"发展成"多重论据",大大丰富了史学研究的方法,为史学研究、特别是先秦史和史前史开辟了广阔的途径。

Mr.Wang Guowei,Master of Ancient Chinese Studies,started the history research methods of 'double arguments'-making textual criticism of history documents based on underground remains and ruins.As Wang's student,Xu Zhongshu was greatly influenced and made many achievements in his research work,but he kept to the idea of 'make developments with time advances',and developed in practice his teacher's 'double arguments' to 'multiple arguments',furthering and enriching the historical research methods,opening a wide world for the historical research,esp.for the research of History of Pre-Qin and prehistory.
