儒家"和而不同"价值观念既代表着一种下对上、周边民族对中原民族绝对服从的权威意识,也暗含着与统治集团相结合,以成压制其他文化发展的意识形态化要求;惟有把它的"君子"人格设定转变成世俗人人性建构,才能适合当代多元化社会发展的需要。

The Confucian value of 'Harmony rather than oneness' represents an ideology of authority demanding the obedience of the bellow to the above and the submission of the peripheral nations to the central plain empires.It also suggests a coalition of ruling groups for the suppression of the ideological development of other cultures.To adapt to the development of multi-cultures,we need to metamorphosize the 'man of dignity' in this value to the 'common people'.
