教育界一直存在一个长期争论的话题——中美大学生孰优孰劣?尽管在我国目前的高等教育制度下,中国大学生在知识深度和基础知识的扎实度方面要远胜于美国,但由于在多元文化氛围的营造、通识教育的理解与实施、教育的非功利性意识、自主精神与创新精神的培育等方面,我国的高等教育与美国存在巨大的差异,直接导致了教育结果的不同——高尖端科学研究成果大多与美国的教育相关而离我们甚远。这一切值得我们反思。

Who are better between college students in China and in the U.S is a topic that has been discussing in the field of education for a long time.College students in China,under present system of higher education,can master deeper knowledge with a sound foundation than those in the U.S.But the higher education in China lags be- hind the U.S in many aspects such as the formation of multi-culture atmosphere,the understanding and imple- mentation of general education,the non-utilitarian idea of education and the cultivation of self-independence and innovative ability.These differences cause a different result that a majority of top achievements of science and tech- nology are relevant to the education of the U.S,but far from the education of China.
