游离与缺失——论张者的长篇小说《桃花》

张者的新作《桃花》是一部知识分子题材的小说。在如何书写知识分子这个问题上,作者显然处在犹疑不定的状态,从而导致作品出现游离的问题。这种游离主要体现在两个方面:其一是主要人物形象在坚守与逃离之间游离,其二是作者在纯文学与畅销书之间摇摆不定,力图兼顾,实则俱损。《桃花》暴露出来的问题的实质是当代知识分子题材小说超拔力量的匮乏。

Peach Blossom,newly-written by Zhang Zhe,is a saga novel with a theme of intellectuals.But for the writer's evident hesitation,some uncertainties exist in the novel.The uncertainty is reflected by both the persistence or escape of the major characters and the writer's hesitation on whether the novel should be written as a pure literal works or a best seller.Though the writer wants to give attention to those two aspects,they are truly both damaged.The essence of the problem reflected by Peach Blossom is the shortage of lifting power of modern novels with theme of intellectuals.
