On Roles and Functions of Design Education in Schools

美术新课程标准的颁布与实施,使设计成为中小学美术教学中的重要内容。中小学设计教育在美术教育乃至对学生整体素质培养中究竟应该扮演何许角色,可以借鉴瓦萨里和赫伯特·西蒙对设计的界定,将设计作为中小学美术教育的基础,一方面使传统美术教学从重"模仿"的僵化模式中一变为灵活、生动而趣味盎然的新局面,另一方面又将创意表现能力与思维运动能力的培养作为其目的。从而真正贯彻新课程标准的精髓,凸显出中小学设计教育的重要作用。

With the new course standard of the fine arts promulgated and put into effect,designing becomes an important content in the fine arts teaching in middle and primary schools.As for what roles middle and primary school designing education play in the fine art education and even in the development of students'over quality.We can learn from Wasali's and Herbert Simon's definations of designing.They regards designing as the basis of the fine arts education in middle and primary schools. On one hand,the traditional fine art teaching becomes nimble,vivid and interesting from copying everything.On the other hand,they aim at the development of the creative showing ability and the thought motion ability,really putting the spirits of the new course standard into effect and protruding the great importance of middle and primary school designing education.
