雕塑的产生和材料是分不开的,虽然大多情况下材料只是一种媒介,但人们对材料探索和加工工艺掌握的过程,也是雕塑的制作、审美和形式发展的一个过程。现代雕塑的发展过程也是对固有雕塑材料探索、拓展的过程,随着雕塑概念的解构,雕塑材料的内涵和外延也将发生很大的变化。
