摘要
运用常用拟声词作为实例,探讨了英汉拟声词之间的异同,提出了英语拟声词的三种翻译方法:英语原文有拟声词,汉译时也运用拟声词;英语原文有拟声词,汉译时不用拟声词;英语原文没有拟声词,汉译时加用拟声词。
With the frequently used onomatopoeia as examples,the differences and similarities between onomatopoeia in English and Chinese are studied and three translating techniques are put forward in this paper,respectively:(1) translating English onomatopoeia into Chinese onomatopoeia;(2) not using onomatopoeia while translating English onomatopoeia;(3) adding Chinese onomatopoeia for non-onomatopoeia in English original.
