On the modernity of Sin Hai Hua's narrative history

论述了《孽海花》在晚清谴责小说中的独特性,恰在它超越了"谴责小说"的概念所包含的一般主题和叙事方式。并指出曾朴的《孽海花》,在历史小说的意识和叙事方式上打破了中国传统"小说"的规范,代表着中国现代历史小说的雏形。

Lu Xun in'A Brief History of Chinese Fic- tion'criticized'Sin Hai Hua'as one of the four novels in the late Qing Dynasty.However,the unique of'Sin Hai Hua'in the late Qing Dynasty condemned novel,just that goes beyond the concept of the general themes and narra- tive form embodied in the'Novels'.Zeng Pu's'Novel'breaks the norms of traditional'novel'in the sense of narrative and the way of historical novels,and represents a prototype of the modem historical novels of China.
