光绪《灵宝县志》是光绪二年付梓问世的,是历史上《灵宝县志》中卷数最多、内容最翔实的,它突出的特点和价值是凡例严格、图表详细、资料翔实等,但也有资料取舍不当、篇目归属不当等不足,但它仍不失为一部方志佳作。本文主要通过分析其特点、价值,特别是历史地理价值,此外并指出其瑕疵,来阐述光绪《灵宝县志》是“玉中有瑕,瑕不掩瑜”。

Guang Xu Lingbao County Annals was published in the second year of Guangxu's domination. It is the one that contains the most volumes and the fullest content compared with other types of Lingbao County Annals in the history. Its prominent characteristics and values are the well-knit style, the detailed graph, and the full and accurate materials and so on. Although it also has deficiencies of inappropriate choice of information, and so on, it still is an excellent local chronicle work. This article, by analyzing its characteristics, values, especially the historical geographical ones, as well as its slight defects, elaborates that Guang Xu Lingbao County Annals can be regarded as 'the jade has flaws but the flaws cannot cover the fine jade'.
