胡锦涛同志提出的以“八荣八耻”为主要内容的社会主义荣辱观具有十分丰富而深刻的科学内涵。树立和实践“八荣八耻”社会主义荣辱观具有重大的理论意义和现实意义:一是落实科学发展观、构建社会主义和谐社会的客观要求;二是推进我国社会主义现代化建设、发展社会主义市场经济、实现全面小康的必然要求;三是形成良好社会风气、培育新时代社会主义“四有”新人的根本要求。树立和实践“八荣八耻”社会主义荣辱观,要和日常工作生活紧密结合起来,要和社会主义精神文明创建活动结合起来,要和建立健全相应的社会机制结合起来,要和学习先进典型结合起来。
