Fostering learner autonomy is one of the most important tasks for higher education today for learners' autonomous learning serves both as the means and end of EFL.Metacognitive strategies using is regarded as a key element in fostering learner autonomy.Based on the theories home and abroad,this paper introduces metacognitive strategies using in the process of fostering learner autonomy.
