The first novel by American black women writer Toni Morrison is The Bluest Eye,which proves that black literature is becoming more mature and reasonable.Compared with the novels by other black writers before, this book explores racism and black identification from a different angle. The heroine's tragedy eposes the evils imposed on the black by the white racial cultural views, and the black are also responsible for their own misfortunes. The discrimination among the black is a bitter source of their tragedy.Consequently, the key for them to be identified is to change their own attitudes.
