语篇连贯与翻译策略

Text Coherence and Strategies of Translation

连贯是语篇构建的重要原则之一,也是语篇的一个重要特征,因而是语篇翻译中需要考虑的一个首要因素。而英汉语分属不同的语系,二者在语篇的连贯方法上有着显著的差异。本文对比分析了英汉语在句群、段落、段际以及整个篇章的连贯手段上的差异,并结合典型翻译材料,论述了译者在英汉/汉英翻译时策略的运用。

Coherence is one of the important principles in text construction,and a significant feature of text.Thus,it should be given primary consideration in text translation.However,English and Chinese belong to different language system,so there are outstanding gaps in their coherence.Therefore,the thesis compares and analyzes the differences in English and Chinese coherence,including the coherence in sentence groups、paragraphs,between paragraphs,and within the whole text.Simultaneously,combining with typical translation materials,the thesis discusses the utilization of strategies on English and Chinese translation.
