China's modern higher education originated very late and was induced by external factors.It's a prominent feature of learing foreign higher education experiences and models as well as transformation of the model many times in the evolution of China's modern higher education.China's modern higher education model has developed from learning from the western to imitating Japan and to learning from America.Each time,choosing and changing the models was deeply influenced by the complex and changeable political situation.It can provide some reference and hint for the current reform and development of higher education to look back on the course of the evolution of the modern Chinese higher education model and summarize its experiences and lessons.
