On the Social Values in the Harmonious Socialist Society

社会主义和谐社会蕴涵着丰富的价值诉求:以权利公平、机会均等、分配合理、司法公正为核心内容的公平观是首要的价值诉求;以承认多元价值主体的存在,允许不同声音的存在,以及人性弱点的存在为核心内容的宽容观是基本的价值诉求;以在法律许可的范围之内,个人可以按照自己的意愿行事,无人干预为核心内容的自由观是最高的价值诉求。

The harmonious socialist society underlines an abundance of social values,of which the notion of fairness,featured by fair privileges,fair opportunities and fair distribution among social members,as well as a judicial system embodying fairness,serves a primary role.The notion of forgiveness,by admitting and accepting the co-existence of different values in the society,is the basic social value in the harmonious socialist society,while the notion of freedom stands at the highest rank on the hierarchical list of social values by emphasizing every individual's freedom to do whatever he wants within the limits of laws.
