During transportation,safety is always the most important component.In recent years,the traffic accidents frequently happen and the number of death in traffic accident increases in Fuzhou.The Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)is an integration of advanced technologies and could be coordinated to cope with various kinds of traffic situation,such as improving the traffic situation and effectively solving the traffic safety problem.The purpose of this article is to introduce the traffic safety issues of Fuzhou,illuminate the role of ITS on traffic safety and its application,give the development direction of ITS in order to improve traffic safety management in Fuzhou.
