Ultrafiltration,a new kind of water treatment technology is introduced,as well as its mechanism and development tendency.Physical separation is used for the removal of particles in water.Turbidity after ultrafiltration is less than 0.1 NTU and it can meet the requirement for microorganism.Little coagulant or even no coagulant is necessary,therefore chemical contamination can be reduced and the construction period of water works can be shortened.It indicates that ultrafiltration will become the tendency of city drinking water treatment process.
