ArcGIS Engine作为ArcGIS9系列软件中的一种新的开发产品,二次开发可以摆脱对ArcGIS平台的依赖,为供水企业管理和调度的专题GIS平台的开发提供一种重要选择。探讨了在VC#.NET平台下,应用ArcGIS Engine开发供水企业应用地理信息系统平台原型的方法及过程,并建立了基于地理信息(GIS)的供水系统的模拟软件原型。

Being a new member of ArcGIS 9 series products, ArcGIS Engine is independent of the ArcGIS Desktop after secondary development, and may be a considerable choice in the development of the special GIS desktop application for the management and scheduling of water utility. The ways and procedures are presented on how to develop the special GIS desktop by using ArcGIS Engine in the platform of VC#.NET and the water distribution network GIS prototype is established.
