Two Letters from Mr. Wang Chongmin about Jia ye tang Library

1951年4月间,时任北京图书馆副馆长的王重民先生给嘉兴图书馆副馆长汪大铁写了两封信,讨论近代著名藏书楼浙江湖州南浔嘉业堂藏书的接管与整理问题,具有重要的史料价值。

On April 1951, Mr. Wang Chongmin, deputy director of Beijing Library, wrote two letters to Mr. Wang Datie who was the deputy director of Jiaxing Library. In the letters Mr. Wang Chongmin discussed the matter of how to take over and reorganize the collections of the famous library Jia ye tang. These two letters have the important value of historical data.
