A Brief Review of the History of Industrial Heritage Protection in Shanghai

产业遗产是城市历史的见证物,包括有形和无形两种形式,具有社会价值、科学价值和美学价值。上海作为我国近代工业的发祥地,留存了丰富的产业文化遗产。本文回顾了80年代以来,上海在保护优秀近现代建筑遗产方面所做的卓有成效的工作,既有对相关法规的介绍,又有对产业建筑遗产的举例说明,是对上海产业遗产保护概况的梳理和总结。

As witness to the history of a city, industrial heritage, whether tangible or intangible, is of great social, scientific and aesthetic value. A cradle for modern indus- try of China, Shanghai boasts abundance of industrial heritage. The article reviews what efforts have been done, since the 1980s, to protect the excellent architectural heritage of Shanghai. Information about relevant regulations and examples of the protection efforts are given to provide a general picture of industrial heritage pro- tection in Shanghai.
