2006年福州市区汉英双语标志牌调查与分析

A Survey on Chinese-English Bilingual Logos in Fuzhou City in 2006

随着中国加入WTO,2008年在北京举办奥运会,有越来越多的国际友人来华,或旅游,或投资,或定居。为了提升福州作为一个省会城市的国际形象,我们做了福州市区汉英双语标志牌调查。在市区和鼓山风景区我们发现了一些问题,涉及到英语修养的措辞、修辞到英语语言基础的语法和拼写。通过这篇文章我们再次呼吁有关方面能重视这些双语标志牌,并以适当的力度介入管理监督。

More and more foreign friends will come to China to travel,invest or take their residence after China's joining WTO and the successful bid of holding 2008 Olympic games in Beijing.In order to promote Fuzhou as an international metropolis,a survey about Chinese-English bilingual logos in the city was made.Some language problems,which relate to English diction,rhetoric and even spelling and grammatical mistakes are found during the survey.Through this article we appeal that these bilingual logos should be paid enough attention to and relevant authorities should take some actions to improve bilingual logos of the city.
