This paper introduces the application of PLC functional instructions of FX_(2N) series. With several examples, this paper describes the features and application of instruction, which include functions of real time clock control, move and compare, arithmetic and logical operations, and so on; it also analyzs how to set and alter parameters in line by index registers. The application of funtional instructions make the PLC programs compact and concise so as to implement the control demands easily.
