Hunt syndrome and Bell palsy

目的提高对 Hunt 综合征的诊断率,争取合理的治疗。方法报告4例 Hunt 综合征患者的临床特征、辅助检查、治疗及转归。结果男女各两例,平均51岁。3例 Hunt 综合征,1例不完全性 Hunt 综合征。所有患者都有第8对脑神经受损症状。早期诊断为 Bell 麻痹2例;1例诊断为椎-基底动脉供血不足。抗病毒、皮质激素药物治疗均同 Bell 麻痹。2例遗留较重的后遗症。结论 Hunt 综合征与 Bell 麻痹是面神经炎两个不同的类型。Hunt 综合征的预后差,需要药物的剂量更大、疗程更长。

Objective To improve the diagnosis of Hunt syndrome in order to treat suitably.Methods The clinical manifestations,laboratory examinations,treatments and outcomes of 4 patients with Hunt syndrome were ana- lyzed.Results In our study 2 cases were males and 2 cases were females,the average age was 51 years,3 cases were Hunt syndrome and 1 case was atypical Hunt syndrome.All cases had the eighth nerve damages.2 cases were misdiagnosed as Bell palsy and 1 case was misdiagnosed as vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency.The treatment with steroid and acyclovir was identical with Bell palsy.In addition,2 cases had severe sequelae.Conclusion Hunt syndrome and Bell palsy were two different types of facial paralysis.Patients with Hunt syndrome are difficult to recover completely and need high dose drug and long period treatment.
