On the fifth day of August in Chinese lunar calendar, the Chinese people will spend the Mid-Autumn Festival. When the day comes, people will offer sacrifice to the moon. They will invite their relatives to enjoy themselves with the bright moon, during which they will kiss the cup or make poems, so as to admire the feeling to the nature and life. The moon cake and grape are the necessities during the festival. There are many fables about the moon among the Chinese people. The ancients think that there must be a toad in the moon, so they call the moon 'the Palace of Toad. Others think that there must be a white hare in the moon, so they call the moon 'the Golden Hare'. There is another legend that a goddess flies into the moon. How smart the ancients are!
