西部地方高校双语教学个案分析

A Case Study of Local University Bilingual Teaching in Western China

西部地方高校双语课程为学生提供了专业英语交际平台,使学生提高了表达能力、协调能力和自信心。尽管"英语为主,兼用中文"的双语教学更有助于培育学生的英语思维模式,但西部地方高校双语课程还是以"中文为主,兼用英语"开始,逐步调整到"中英并重"为宜,而后根据情况决定是否采用"英语为主,兼用中文"的教学模式。

Bilingual courses in Western China provide a platform for students to communicate their professional ideas in English,while increasing their expressive abilities and establishing their learning confidence.Although the mode of "English plus some Chinese" will help students to think in the target language,in Western China,bilingual course may need to start with the mode of "Chinese plus much English" and increase the use of English in class in a gradual way.
