On Modern Confucianism and Chinese Modernization

现代儒学思潮是 2 0世纪 2 0年代以来影响中国思想界的重要社会思潮之一。从其本质来说 ,乃是对近代以来中国的现代化思潮的一种反思 ,是对近代以来中国的现代化思潮中的“西化”价值取向的回应。现代儒学思潮以承续儒家的“统绪”为使命 ,意欲在恢复传统文化的价值和地位的基础上 ,融会中西 ,弘扬儒学 ,以使儒学适应现代化的潮流。虽然现代儒学思潮关于传统与现代化问题的探索存在误区 ,但是这种探索 ,仍然是有其合理性和一定价值的。

Modern Confucianism thought is one of the important social thoughts which has influenced ideological field of China since 1920s.Essentially, it reflects the thoughts of Chinese modernization since modern times and it responds to the tendency of 'westernization' value. Based on restoring the value and status of traditional culture, modern Confucianism thought, with the mission of inheriting and continuing the Confucian idea 'Unification', digests Chinese-western spirits and develops Confucianism in order to adapt to the trend of modernization. Although there exists misunderstanding zone in the exploration of modern Confucianism thought on the issue about the aspects of tradition and modernization, it is still reasonable and valuable.
