索绪尔在其《普通语言学教程》中提出的语言符号任意性原则一直是语言学界讨论的热点 ;索绪尔任意性学说存在着缺陷与不足 ;在语言的起源搞清之前 ,不能轻易对语言符号的性质给予定论。

Arbitrariness principle of linguistic signs put forward by D. Saussure in his Course in General Linguistics has been under heated discussion.While there exist the deficiencies and limitations of the principle.We believe that we cannot make the ultimate conclusion of the nature of linguistic signs before we make clear the origin of language.
