On the Temporal Notion of Feng Zhi

个性主义思潮在带来自由的同时,带给“五四”文人的是普遍的感伤,“刹那主义”人生观和死亡感笼罩了整个诗坛。深受存在主义思想熏陶的冯至,他的诗歌反复吟唱的是在瞬间实现的永恒,这样的瞬间融汇了过去和将来;最让人心醉的瞬间有两种,一是离别,一是死亡;生命中遇到的一切客观事物,都是这种瞬间的外化形式,期待着我们去感受,去领悟。冯至的创作实践表明,在面对外来思潮和文化时,如何以积极的人生态度去进行选择与整合,至关重要。

While the trend of individualism has brought freedom, it has also brought widespread sentimentality to scholars during the 'May Fourth Movement', thus the life notion of 'instantaneousness' and a sense of death hung over the then entire poetic arena. Feng Zhi, who has been under the spell of the thought of individualism, lays stress on the repeated narration in his poems of the eternality realized in an instant which integrates the past and the future. There are two kinds of intoxicating instantaneousness: one is departure, and the other is death in that all the object matters countered in our life are the external forms of this instantaneousness which are to be experienced and realized. The practice of Feng Zhi's creation has demonstrated that it is of vital importance to select and adapt positively in face of foreign ideological thought and cultures.
