Poetic Hearts Are Linked: A Comparative Study of Nirvana of the Phoenix and Phoenix and Turtledove

运用比较文学理论及方法,对郭沫若的《凤凰涅槃》与莎士比亚的《凤凰和斑鸠》进行平行研究,以期彰显两部作品在神话原型、喻象意境、哲学蕴涵、思想主题诸方面的貌合神契或貌合神离。

Employing the comparative literature theory and method,the paper studies Guo Moruo's Nirvana of the Phoenix and(Shakespeare's) Phoenix and Turtledove in order to demonstrate their complete agreement or their being seemingly in agreement but actually at odds in mythological prototypes,figurative meanings,philosophical connotation and ideological themes,etc.
